Highland Building Maintenance is a New York cleaning company designed from the ground up for facilities where "clean" is a compliance category — hospitals, labs, Class A towers, and critical infrastructure.
We started because the standard wasn't good enough.
Highland was started by people who had spent years walking through hospitals, labs, and Class A buildings and watching the same problem repeat itself: cleaning crews trained for one environment being sent into another.
The result was predictable. Compliance gaps. Documentation that didn't hold up in an audit. Facility directors picking up a mop themselves because the vendor's crew didn't understand the room.
So we built a different company. Environment-specific training. Named disinfectants. Signed chain-of-custody. Insurance that clears procurement on the first pass. And a leadership team that still answers the phone when something matters.
